I write four novels per year (most years), as well as fifteen to twenty short stories, and comics. I dream up strange stories and get paid for them. I usually tell people that I’m a ‘professional daydreamer’, which isn’t far from the truth. Please enjoy my interview with Jonathan Maberry… How do you describe your occupation? It was a real honour to be able to talk books with such a well respected and prolific author like Jonathan Maberry. Jonathan is known for his writing that spans several different genres including horror, mystery and young adult fiction. Jonathan Maberry was named one of the Today’s Top Ten Horror Writers, and his books have been sold to more than two-dozen countries. Jonathan Maberry is a New York Times best- selling and multiple Bram Stoker Award-winning suspense author, editor, comic book writer, magazine feature writer, playwright, content creator and writing teacher/lecturer. ![]()

How toįor you to start all you need to do is look at what you really enjoyed as a kid, as a teen, with your family, when you are by yourself then make a list. And for gifts that year I painted a picture since I wanted to be more creative and pass on the happiness. I would read an article a day that was not a news story and participated in word-of-the-day. ![]() I also wanted to grow and learn so each week I would watch a Ted Talk. We went to story time at a local bookstore, we painted pictures in my studio, we did scavenger hunts and learned about the area and I was happier. (All though I'm not sure I liked Jesus in it. As for the characters they were likable- and I did find myself caring for them and being moved at the end. (Kingdom of heaven's Jerusalem was awful). And I finally feel that they got the look of Jerusalem almost right- at least the best version of Jerusalem on screen I've ever seen. ![]() I came with low expectations and actually quite enjoyed it! The visuals were amazing-I'm an archaeology buff- roman to be specific and I think that for the first time in a long time I really felt immersed and got excited from seeing stuff I usually see in a museum come to life- The hippodrome was amazing!! And so were the costumes and the sets. I can understand that fans of the original movie aren't pleased- I guess they feel like seeing a book they really like getting butchered on screen- but in this case I don't think that happened.
